    Reimagining Pre-Wedding Photography

    WedPlanner is a modern, tech-forward wedding planning agency dedicated to helping engaged couples design, plan, and curate their perfect wedding experiences. Traditional pre-wedding photoshoots are notoriously expensive, logistically complex, and stressful—often requiring multiple wardrobe changes, extensive travel, professional makeup artists, and expensive photographers. Their goal was simple: digitize the experience using AI.

    WedPlanner identified several critical pain points in traditional pre-wedding shoots, alongside complex technical challenges required to make a digital alternative viable:

    Our Solution

    An Integrated AI Photography Platform

    We designed, built, and deployed an end-to-end web application that connects a responsive, state-managed React frontend with a secure, auto-scaling FastAPI backend.

    Step 1 — Auth Bootstrapping

    To eliminate onboarding friction, users log in using Google One Tap. The frontend uses Redux Toolkit and RTK Query to preserve user sessions, track generation history, and gracefully gate access to protected routes.

    Step 2 — Multi-Mode Upload Engine

    Supports two modes: <strong>Flexible Mode</strong> (couples upload 1–3 individual photos of each partner) and <strong>Couple Mode</strong> (a single high-quality picture of them together). The AI analyzes relative heights, body structures, and posture.

    Step 3 — Curated Template Library

    Users browse a beautiful gallery of pre-wedding scenes categorized into Free and Paid tiers. Premium templates require individual token purchases integrated with the Razorpay Payment Gateway.

    Step 4 — Gemini Dual-Face Pipeline

    The backend orchestrates generation using gemini-2.5-flash-image. We engineered a dual-face mapping system that injects a comprehensive anatomical checklist (eye shape, eyebrow arch, jaw curvature) into the instructions, forcing pixel-perfect replication of both faces.

    Step 5 — Fail-Safe Refund Protocol

    To protect user spending, we implemented an automated refund listener: if a generation encounters an API timeout or server issue, the backend immediately refunds the free credit or restores the paid token use.
